Anyone use the K&N filter that is supposed to fit the RJF1 hood scoop? I talked to the folks at RJ racecars and they said it won't fit with a pan, so they quit selling them. I have a pan now, but I don't really need it. My scoop is glassed to the hood so I could take the pan out. Does a pan really make any difference in MPH or ET?

Can you show me a photo of the base as it mounts to the carb. on your application? I may be able to offer suggestions.

This filter doesn't mount on the carb, it fits in the hood scoop. I have attached a photo. I think the length is the issue with the pan, but I am not sure. I hate to order one, just to find out it doesn't fit.
