Default Helmet fix/repair

YIKES...HELP...have a RACEQUIP helmet...maybe 3-4 years old...well within 10 year accepted Snell specs/sticker accepted by NHRA/IHRA...competition...one of chin straps is frayed somewhat rubbing on the Hans device...needing replacement...am being told...that although Racequip is currently under guise of Simpson...there are have/offer NO services for Racequip product (!)...supposedly because pricing (when sold new ) is too low (!) to offer such...say it ain't so...'eh stymie...the Snell rating is same as the "higher" price helmet...any one have a thought/idea...??? much appreciate...Drake Viscome

I had a G force helmet that the chin strap started unraveling.. I thought when I get home I can probably melt the end of the strap and fix that a run or two later I was trying to tighten it up and unraveled about two-foot-long string and barely left enough strap to fasten it.. I made it through the rest of the weekend. I thought I'm going to have to buy a new helmet now, I remembered I had a out of date helmet.. and swapped the that one side of the chin strap from the old helmet

I use one of these "quick release" buckles on my helmet chin strap. I thought it was easier to buckle, and less wear and tear on strap... https://www.madhatterak.com/products...39747567550573

My G-Force strap frayed, I called them and they sent me a new one. Look at a G-Force helmet if it's strap would work call them and maybe they'll sell you a strap.
