Question Mopar T/A reverse shift 3 speed clean nuetral setup

Shifter and tranny are the same as whats in the Dakota, this is for the Dart Sport.

Tranny is engaging drive in clean nuetral so its a touch off.

Turbo Action shifter reverse valve body pattern with clean nuetral after 3rd.

No instructions for this on Turbo Actions site. standard 3 speed instructions say to do setup and adjustments in third gear, which would have the shifter lever on side of tranny all the way forward(third gear), connect cable adjust from there.

I think, the correct setup for clean nuetral would be to push the shifter lever on the tranny all the way forward(this would be clean nuetral), put the shifter in clean nuetral connect the cable and adjust from there.

This sound correct?

Note: I have requested TA to update their instructions on line.

I'll reach out to shop that did the dakota conversion, hopefully they remember.

Thanks

Eric

I would give Paul a call at Turbo Action.

You might need a different part for the shifter, don't know.

So if your are saying that you adjusted the shifter in 2nd gear position and then when you pull into the clean neutral spot it drags the high gear clutch some....so does the one i have. Just cheat the adjusting screw towards the clean n 1 or 2 turns. Been running it like that since installed. There's enough slop in it that it wont hurt anything.

It got corrected, and Johns method worked great! Thanks!
