Hey guys, I have a few questions about this style hood scoop. Back in the day did racers graft these onto flat hoods or cowl hoods? I've come across a few guys running Moroso hoods that appear to be based on a cowl hood, but I have also seen vintage pics of cars with the same scoop on flat hoods?
I'm trying to make one for my '67 Camaro.

Try speedway motors, they have some of those old style scoops. They had a grump lump scoop i put on a camaro flat hood.
That scoop you are looking at i had on a 66 chevelle in the 70's. It was on a flat hood. I would start with a flat hood. |

Thanks Jim, I just purchased an old Harwood scoop in the same style, should have it next week. I plan to use a flat hood and go for something like this:
