One of my favorite cars when Mark Osterbye drove it and a very fast SS/KA at the time.

Yes was wondering the same thing. I was going to place a bid but have no desire to push the bid unless I meet reserve and purchase. The seller stated car was "garaged its whole life" . That is the case with most race cars. Judging from the exhaust and street tires on the rear, it appears this car was street driven the last 20 years. A very beautiful Camaro, but really condition and sentimental history are the realistic value. I dont think Supinski, Graf or Osterbye have interest or car wouldve sold after Mecum.
And sadly I thought when this car surfaced on Mecum last year that it was an unrealistic high price for what it was. It clearly is not a famous LS6 convertible, but just a very good condition, somewhat SS molested 350 4 speed Camaro convertible. As a historic NHRA super stock car, good luck. The staging lanes of an NHRA event are filled with "historic" cars. I will let you know in 10/15 years what they are worth. |

As cool as this car is, it's not "historic".

Frank, that was my point. Need to convince the seller of that though
![]() And if memory serves me correct, this Camaro was never a "Super Stock national champion" Set records and won the Ohio Springnationals with Osterbye driving, but I think that was about it. Just a clean, modified Camaro convertible with some cool history. |

In 1972, cars of this type were lucky to have a 10.5 tire.
