This intake is in the blueprints for the 1979 L82 350 and is also allowed for the '79 305s only. Just wondering why it appears GM discontinued this casting after only 1 year.

Could be as simple as a boss was added to the casting for a bracket . Policy at GM was to change the casting number . Drop the old casting and use the new part for Service .

It seems to me that there was an extra coolant temperature sensor on the 1980 cars due to the onset of the first Computer Command Control systems on GM cars then. This was a factory aluminum quadrajet intake. I have a pretty nice used one if anybody wants it.

Sorry I didn't see your question sooner. No, I don't have anything like that. If I find one,I'll let you know.
