What is the standard thread size for common coil spring compressors? Appears to be 5/8-10 ACME threads, but this particular thread size seems relatively uncommon in terms of ACME threads. I need to remake the threaded rod for my spring compressor, as it's not long enough to sufficiently compress the taller drag race-style springs.

I don't remember the exact size of mine but when I searched ACME threaded rods on McMaster-Carr's website I was able to figure it out based on the info they provided with the rods.

make sure the rod you get is 4140 ,not 1018 .......The tensile strength of 4140 is double that of 1018 .
Yes , I learned this the hard way !
