Does this still need to be a bolt in unit? I don't see it specifically addressed in the rulebook like I thought it used to be. Unless they are just considering it a "Traction bar." Just thought previous versions specifically called out Anti Roll.
Maybe I'm crazy Brad |

Under Traction Bars, third sentence, "bolt on traction DEVICES permitted".

Billy is correct .
Although some have argued that the anti-roll bar is not a traction device , NHRA correctly sees it as such.

Just another interesting (and ignored) Rule Book note, under Traction Bars, sentence4, "device must be installed under leaf spring" which would mean that cal-tracs would not be legal as a portion of the "device" is installed above the leaf spring. Go figure.

I prefer for it to be bolt in/removable in some fashion since it is a wear item that is subject to occasional cleaning/lube/maintenance. Easier to get the assembly out of the car to work on it.

I'm going to guess this slides by because it mounts in the original hole the leaf spring mounted in so it's not technically mounting "above" even though the Cal-tracs does lower the mounting hole of the spring itself once installed so it is physically above once installed. |
