Racers.
our 38-foot trailer is 2007 model, thus, 10 years in our Texas sun. In addition, I added large, 12-foot long "Team Woodfin" and "NHRA" logos. Both trailer paint and our logos are badly weathered. The decals are basically melted into the trailer skin. In order to remove the logos, it will require heating and scraping and will remove the trailer skin paint with it. Because the decals are huge it is not practical to remove them. One idea was to buy and install a new set of logos that are slightly larger and cover over the old logos. Another idea was to re-skin the trailer. Replacing the outer skin holds another advantage because the trailer has some "buggers" here and there. Any other ideas or suggestions? Anyone re-skinned a trailer? |

Don't re-skin it, wrap it or paint it. You can fix any imperfections. I hate the paint on the panels I believe it is a synthetic enamel I may be wrong but either way it is thin and it sucks. Any decent automotive urethane w/hardner would be 100% better. My trailer is only 4 years old and I had to repair and spray the back door. Much better gloss and way easier to clean.

Paint it, the Texas sun will smoke a wrap way before it destroys paint.
