Default C2 corvette header size

I’m in need of headers for a C2 corvette 427/400hp stick combo, oval port heads. The motor was dyno with 2 inch headers but not sure if that’s the right size for the motor. I’m looking for suggestion and if anyone has some for sale. Thanks Brett

Go to the Stahl Headers website, and get the number for the people that are now building the headers. The head fabricator is the guy who worked for Jere Stahl. They only build stepped headers now. My suggestion would be that the smallest/first step should be 1-3/4" or 1-7/8".

The man you want to talk to is Greg Stump. The company name is now Stahl Headers by ACP. Phone # 717-232-2800
E-mail gs.acp@comcast.net
Greg is a good guy, if he can fix you up, he will.

Thanks for the information. I had talked with the guys from Stahl before and they said they didn't have a fixture for the big block vettes only for small block vettes. Thanks Brett

Hi Dwight! When Jere was first selling off the business, he would sell certain jigs to certain people. I'm guessing that if Greg doesn't have the jig then the only way that he could properly make a set that are up to Stahl standards would be to have the car. I don't think at this point that they are in that position. Not yet anyway.

I could have sworn Greg had big block headers for the Corvette in the booth at PRI. I know a guy came and picked up a set of big block Corvette headers.

I just got off of the phone with Greg and he told me that C-2 big-block Corvette headers are no problem! Call the new number.
