Default C2 corvette Stocker question

On the 63-67 Corvettes, what is generally done to get a 9x30" slick to fit in the wheel well/chassis?
Now and in the past.
Is a solid axle now legal in Stock?
Thanks
Dom

yes the solid axle conversion is legal. and you have to keep the transverse mounted spring, and original control arms.

The only way I see it will fit is to jack up the rear high enough that the tire will stick out and under the quarter panel. I currently run a 28x9 slick on a 7" rim with a 4 7/8 back space and it just fits in the quarter panel. I also had to massage the front of the kick up area of the chassis where the trailing arm enters the chassis with a BFH. I dont like when they're too high in the rear.

I was able to get a 9" X 30" slick under my '80 Vette by just cutting the emergency brake cable tabs off the trailing arms. Was also able to use a 8" wide wheel. No problems after that.
