Hi All, Plan on rebuilding the stock starter in my 79 L82 Corvette.
Purchased a kit from a vette supplier but haven't purchased a solenoid yet. Had a hard start when real warm. I see where Accel offers a solenoid that looks promising but wanted to know if anyone is familiar with a "heavy duty" solenoid. Thanks,Happy Holidays Jimmy |

I would just run a remote solenoid to cure the problem. http://www.novaresource.org/starter.htm

Jimmy,
I have had this Painless Relay Hot Start kit on my Camaro since prob 1987. Simple and compact. Never once had a hot start issue, even when I was driving the car nearly everyday in high school. http://www.painlessperformance.com/w...rchField=30202 Last edited by cad; 12-29-2013 at 12:08 PM. |
