Stock Ford Automatics

What do you Ford Stock Eliminator racers use? Im looking for options for 60s Ford and it lists cruise O matic? Is this a 2 or 3 speed and I guess you guys just use a C-4 or C-6? I currently run a C-6 and its a very nice Tranny as I love hiiting 3rd gear even though its a powerglide world anymore. Anyways what do ya run and what works for you thanks

Ford racers have several automatics to choose from. The C-4 is lightweight and quick. The C-6 is heavier but plenty beefy. With the newer Cobra Jet Mustangs comes the C-2. It is amazingly similar to the Powerglide but in a Ford it is called a C-2.

PS. In answer to your question...the Cruise-o-matic was a 3-speed. In later years it became the FMX transmission.
