Looking to replace the headers on my chevelle, 350/255/280. Currently has Davis three step 1.5/1.625/1.75 but they are getting too thin and have been dented and bent too many times. Any recommendations? I've been looking at the shelf style headers because taking the car somewhere to have a $3k set of headers made is out of the question. Thanks in advance, Chris

We just bought a set of American Racing Headers and they were very, very nice. I know they specialize in late-model GM EFI stuff but would guess they have some to fit yours too. ??? If I'm not mistaken they make the headers for the COPO. Anthony is great to work with ... customer service second to none.

Stahl Headers. Stahl probably has more dyno data than any header builder in the business. Call Jere Stahl and tell him what you have and he will recommend a header to suit your needs.

Stahl. Who needs stainless? NitroPlate!
If Jere Stahl is not making headers right now, then I'd suggest KromerKraft. I just talked to Mr. Kromer last week, he is back in business and building headers.

I just bought a set from Stahl. If it's an SS engine he may have you do what he had me do: He had me take a Manila folder and, using a gasket hammer, cut out a pattern of my raised exhaust ports and bolt holes to custom cut a set of flanges that located the tube over my ports like he wanted them. Have some data handy. Jere is a very bright guy, likes plenty of data. Maybe not as much for a stocker. If I need another set, I would certainly buy from them again. I don't know if they also build stainless headers. I didn't ask. Ph 717-846-1632.

Jere has the customer make templates for every header, and he does not make stainless headers.
And yeah, Jere is a data fanatic. Be prepared to tell him everything about the car.
