Looking for some interior shots of the red Dick Harrell Nickey 66 Nova ultra stocker.there are a few pics on the internet of the exterior,but i have not been able to find any of the interior,or engine shots. thanks

Lyn, I'm certain I have an issue of Drag Strip that has a feature of Harrell's Nova with a couple of interior shots. I will do my best to find it and post some pics soon. I don't have a scanner so photos from a camera will have to do.

I actually thought I had the Harrell car but I guess I was wrong. Unfortunately, it is what it is. My apologies.

This is the entire article from the June 1966 issue of Drag Strip magazine.

Rowing a stick with that hand brake doesn't leave alot of options for the steering wheel. A person would have to be real quick with the handoff at the start line.

I wondered about the exact same thing, Daryl.

If you look at the pic above of Chadwick coming out of the chute, he seems to have his hand on the brake in question while the other is ready for the first shift. If this is actually the case, I really wouldn't be so surprised. After all, these guys have been the center of our attention for sometime now in regards to the size if their..er hmm....you know what, or whether they actually knew any better. I think it was a little bit of both.
