Default 70-81 Camaro fuel cell install and firewall

I am looking to install a fuel cell as this winters project and have a couple questions.

How large of a cell would you recommend? The system will have a bypass regulator with return so there will be some heat built up in the fuel as it dumps over the regulator so I am not sure if a 5 gallon cell will not disapate the built up heat.

Also, when it comes to the firewall behind the rear seat and under the package tray does anyone have any pictures they are willing to share showing their firewall installed?
I am trying to figure out the cleanest install I can without it getting too complicated at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

Chad

If line sizing is correct, a bypass regulator with return, should not cause any fuel "heat up" issues.......

My son and I both race 2nd gen Camaros and use an aluminum 5 gal. cell. My car uses a Barry Grant 280 pump with no return and Andrew's uses a Magnafuel 300 with a return from the pump to the tank. I have a #8 line on mine from the cell all the way to the regulator and Andrew's has a #10 line. Andrew's car was built 2 years ago and my fuel system is probably 10-12 years old. If I was going to re-do mine I would do it just like I did Andrew's.

Unfortunately I don't have any photos handy, but the package tray cardboard makes a pretty handy template. Use it to transfer onto some cardboard, leaving everything long by an inch or so, then trial fit into car and trim as required. I left the front long, then had the metal shop brake a 90 degree bend so it "caps" the front piece. Use a piece of cardboard and trace/trim as required to fit the front of the trunk. Transfer on to legal thickness sheet metal, trim and install with pop rivets, seal with silicone. I can do a mean burnout and not get a lick of smoke in the cab.

brief vid of the car launching:

If the car has a cardboard sheet behind the seat, that may serve as a template also. If you choose aluminum, get 5052H32 as it is bendable.
