Default Roller Rockers in Stock

I talked to Chris Padgett at Comp Cams yesterday and he told me roller rockers would be legal next year in stock. he said Comp already had the paper work from NHRA.

Marvelous.

Welcome to more RPM, more cheating, and more breakage.

I also posted this on the lifter thread.....

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++

This is just an exercise in futility............

I see on another post from Greg Hill that he has the inside scoop from Comp Cams that roller rockers will be legal next year...........

If that happens how far behind are roller lifters?????????????

The next step will be to remove the Stock Eliminator section from the NHRA Rule Book

Let me recap the events that killed Stock Eliminator.....

Removal of the OEM spring pressure & size rule

Removal of the cam duration rule & cams designed with lift rates to take advantage of the above change

Lifters designed to take advantage of the above

Roller rockers to take advantage of the above rule

How can roller lifters not be the next rule to take advantage of the above rule changes???

The last Stock rule change will be an additional S to make it SS

I heard the same thing several months ago. Would have to be the same setup as stock, IE. shaft mount or stud. Same ratio as stock spec. IE. 1.5 etc. You guys had to know it was coming! Jim

Thumbs down Re: Roller Rockers in Stock

LOL.....And it never ends. Some could be right. The combining of stock and S/S will be next. The death blow was the any spring pressures and any duration and overlap.

Jesel rockers? As long as the pedestal is mounted to where the rocker stud is. if not I hope we can run a stud girdle to keep things inline. I can't wait to see 9k 396-375s Cool!
