Danged if I can find the thread that's in here somewhere on the best setup for front end bushings for 67-69 Camaro's.
Do remember that the general opinion was to stay away from poly bushings. But don't remember what/who had the best pieces. Would like to redo the front end on my '68 and looking for input. Appreciate your feedback Unk

Bob, Del-A-Lum, from Global West, for the bushings, TRW or Moog for upper control arm shafts, and TRW or Howe for the extended upper ball joints.

Alan,
I've looked at the Del-A-Lum bushings, do I need the offset shaft? or is the TRW Moog shaft all that's needed, and why not the offset shaft? Appreciate the reply, thanks. Unk

Bob , The offset shafts should give you a few more degrees + caster without too much - camber (by using more alignment shims on the rear bolt)

I like the offset upper shafts to get a better range of adjustment for caster and camber. I like to see zero camber at race height, going down the track, with a lot of caster so the car wants to go straight and keep going straight, with minimal rolling resistance. If you can get plenty of caster, you can run as close to possible to actual zero toe, without wandering.
The extended upper ball joints help to correct the camber curve, so that the amount of camber change during front end travel is reduced.

Since they are legal in stock now I would strongly recommend these adjustable tie rods and
get away from any type of heating to the Spindle for Bump Steer adjustment.

Sorry to drag this old thread back up. I am having the issue with the camber change with front end travel. Does anyone know the part number or source for the extended upper ball joints? Thanks BTW it's a 67 Camaro |

How do you determine which available stud length works best with the extened upper ball joints (my particular set up is for a '68 Camaro)? Just by looking at Howe's website, there are a few stud length options to choose from. http://www.howeracing.com/p-7926-how...oog-k5108.aspx Many Thanks. |
