Good engine builder/machine shop near Illinoi

Looking for recommendations for a good place to have a BBC engine done within close driving distance of northern Illinois. Not looking to have a stock/super stock engine done, just quality work on a street-strip engine.

# 317-858-9938- Tell Him what you need and at least get some pricing.
This is a great shop and very honest and easy to deal with.

Not that far to Dayton, OH so why not have one of the best? Parsons and Myers (937)228-7278 is known for fast pieces at reasonable prices and they stand behind their work. I wouldn't cut corners just because it's "street/strip" in any case.

Thanks for the suggestions. Although I know that there are recommended engine shops elsewhere, I prefer not to have to ship it. Although my build isn't as serious as most, I want the best machine work and attention to details that I can find, although money is an issue... I know that the racers on this board would know who to go to.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

X2 with one of the BEST. Parsons in Dayton, Ohio. The drive from MN is worth it. Bruce and everyone is there to help. Since we have had our engines built by them- No Problems ! Oh, and FAST !

Parsons and Myers is a good choice as well as Bischoff Engine Service or BES who is in Saint Leon, IN.

Well, If you want to Really FAST? Then you should go to the Best!!! Jeff Taylor or BES Racing Engines!!! Both in Indiana.
