Question Friendly Headers ss/gtfa

Does anyone have suggestions on a header to fit a 88-90 camaro gt car with 350/290 hp.
The headers we have now have the plate on them and work fine (i guess).
They were on the car when we bought it.(1 7/8 size).
can't get to oil filter without taking header loose or off and tight fit everywhere.
Just asking ,maybe someone can lead us in the right direction.
Don't need no $$$$hi-dollar$$$$ headers cause this will never be a top ten qualifyer.
Lucky to go 6-7 under.(old school motor).
Trying to make it a little more racer friendly.

We have run into similar headaches with our small block Mopars

I went to Auto Parts and looked thru all their filters and was able

to find some filters almost 1/2 the diameter (Fram 2825) and some

about 1/2 the length (Mobil M102) that had the same threads and

seal diameter. Possible you could find something similar for

you car to get you by while you look for new Headers.

PS I know that Mopars use a different pattern Filter....Included
the numbers for my Mopar Buddies not Chev applications

John
The Fram 3600 and the K&N 2009 works also. Made for the 2.4 turbo cars. Jim

A small filter isn't available because the gasket diameter is so large. I put on an adapter to run the small diameter Ford filter {21348 NAPA}. ...Thanx Trevor

How about a remote mount and get away from the heat altogether ? Cheaper than headers and you dont lose filter volume.
