Met him years ago at Mission Raceway with Lyn Welfringer.

He was a really cool guy. Sat and had a beer with him. Very social and seemed to be an all around good guy. Super smart! The loss of another Legend.

R.I.P.

I had the honor of meeting him and listening to his seminar at the Olds Convention last year in Sturbridge, MA. He was a talented and gifted guy who learned most of his knowledge from the school of hard knocks. RIP.

Unhappy Re: RIP Joe Mondello

Met him many years ago in the stands at the old Fallnationals in Seattle. A bunch of us were playing the "guess the ET game" during TF qualifying when this gentleman comes up and asks if this seat is taken,,,I say "It is now",, but I'm thinking this guy sure looks familiar. Anyhow, after all the pros were done, the man gets up and says he had fun sitting with us and has to go and asks our names. I said, "I'm Dan and this is my buddy Dave,,and you are?" He reaches in his pocket,,then extends his hand and says "I'm Joe, nice meeting you guys." As I shake his hand, he slips me a Mondello Heads button, which I still have to this day. Of course, I did the old "Hey do you know who that was?' to all the guys around us. What a great guy,,,,R.I.P. Joe,,,, my condolences to his family.
