Decided to give up running a 9in Radial on my Trans AM. Anything over 3400 on the 2-step it blows them off. What compound are yall running? Tire size will be 29X10 or 10.5.

What were you using?
The tires I use are: Hoosier CO7 in a 13.5X31.5 lightweight tire. Trans brake Super Stock car. Hoosier CO6 in a 30X9 radial. Foot brake Stocker Hoosier DO5 in a 30X9 bias. Foot brake bracket car You should be better off with a bias tire. |

Hoosier 9X30 Radial D07 Compound 18-20 PSI
I agree with Alex. We have run this tire on our two crate motor cars with no issues leaving at 3500 rpm on the two step for years. In fact I cannot even remember the last time that the tires actually broke loose and spun. Good luck

last weekend we went on the 1.39's the first outing with the brand new setup. The first 3 passes I was on the 2-step 3000 and it hooked fine. car hit the wheelie bar every pass. tried to bring it up to 4400 and of just blew the tires off. C07 30X9 radials 92.5 roll-out. All passes were made at 20psi. I'm happy with how it did leaving lower. The car does weigh 3500lbs so it's not gonna leave but so hard with my cheap setup. Were gonna give the 9in Radials another shot. I think on an IHRA prepped track it will hold a higher launch.

Gotta remember that you haven't had the car out in the awhile... make sure none of the shocks went bad. And drop the tire pressure down to 17 psi. Are the tires new?
