Default The death of a place to race.

I have read about low car counts in the sportsman ranks at several facilities this year, be it N or I hra. I cannot understand why racers would not support a race that is somewhat close by that is representing your particular eliminator, whether it be a different sanctioning body or your area S/SS association. Do you want them to die off so that you have no where to showcase and race your great looking race car. If financial restraints exist, then it is a different story, but if you can make them somehow, then you should.

Down here in FL we have the Southern Stock Super Stock Association which is hosting it's first race of the season this weekend. It is way down in W. Palm Beach, within a 200 mile striking distance for probably 15-20 stockers. It is a good biting track and it is 1/4 mile. Payout is good at $1,500, $600, $300 for a $65 entry fee. Two time shots Sat and one shot Sun before elims.

There are associations all over the place, support them. If a new sanctioning body is having a race, support it. Don't forget it still is a party with your fellow racers.

If we as racers do not attemt to make these type of races, our class racing locally will die.

SAY WHAT?????? I move away and it happens. Phooeeyyy . Anyone who misses this is a damn fool. And hard biting track is an understatement now. You can stage a car sideways there and it'll hook like you never felt. Ask Wendell Howes, Lil' Joe Teuton, and Kevin Helms if you don't believe me.
