Default F-Body Hood Question

My project is a 96 Formula that I think is a B or c car. When i bought the vehicle it had a non functional ram air aftermarket hood. I know the rule book says stock hood but I was hoping it would work. I have a feeling i need to find a stock hood but i wanted to confirm with you experienced racers. Thanks for any help.

I would say go for the stock one. If tech wants to get picky they could spot an aftermarket hood. Since it is non functional ram air I would say that would be easy to catch.

If it did not have the logo on the underside.....you'd probably get by but it's clearly not legal. You'd likely get tagged for it pretty quickly....

I had a Firebrid with the Stock RA hood that looked similar. I think your scoops are taller......

Don't think it is a natural D car.......The Formulas had a very light shipping weight in the book if I recall right......I ran A/FIA with a '97. I was about 200lbs heavy for the A minimum weight.........and my car with me in it was probably pretty light.....I think my car could run B/SA or C/SA by todays rules.......not sure....
