I need more info to answer. What size engine? (350, 383, 398??) F.I.? Stock intake? Tell us more about what you are doing and you will probably get several responses.
Jeff Lee would have chimed in by now but that only proves that he doesn't know much about LT1's...........EVERYTHING else, just not LT1's. TT |

Aftermarket heads are best for you. I've used some of the AFR heads and was satisfied with the quality and results. The stock heads are too small for your app, even the LT4 stuff is probably not as good and very pricey. Someone else may have another opinion.
Who is Lloyd Elliott? TT |

Mine is a 398 LT1 I ran the AFR 210CC heads with a Edelbrock Lt4 Intake that was ported by Lingenfelter Performance untill now. I just got a set of AFR227's and I am freshening the engine and switching to shaft rockers and throwing a little more compression at it for next year. If you would like more info let me know I will try and type it all out. The car can go 9's in decent air with a good track with a Ed Wright tune up in the stock PCM.

I would avoid the Trick Flow heads myself. I have a friend with a 383" LT1 who has oil drain back issues. Full valve covers at the finish line are of no value. My old foot brake bracket engine ran mid/high nines @ mid 130s at 3200 lbs with ease. Still had the 4L60E trans. Pete Incaudo (was CNC Cylinder Heads) did the LT4 heads & intake. I would choose AFR if I was going aftermarket.
