Default Low Drag Ring Set

I'm helping a Friend build a 305 GM SB Engine for a 5.0 Liter Class,,, American Power Boat Association. We are looking for some one that has a low drag ring set for this combo and type of racing. I'm thinking this ring set will be similar to a Stock Eliminator type Engine. I can not remember who the Ring Guys are to call. Any body out their have any numbers to call.

Thanks for looking,

I hate to crap on anyone here but my boss just took a set of Total Seals out of his Ford 514. He had a major leakdown issue. The rings were turned in toward the piston at the gap. Engine was never overheated and the shop installed them properly. If you do go with the TSs you might want to put them in the hole and check for this before installing them on the piston.

I don't know of anybody that builds a race engine that doesn't check everything and test fit everything.

Don Lent at DBi Performance Machine. He used to work at Sealed Power and Perfect Circle. He can get a very comparable ring set to Total Seal, but for less money.

Also check with Gregg Luneack, very knowledgible and easy to talk to. Has some pretty good small bore stuff.
