I am using Phoenix ph379 13/31 right now but I think they are way too big for my application.
What do you guys recommend for a stick car? Something with a stiff sidewall and medium compound? Or do you know a knowledgeable source for me to contact? Thanks. |

I think the M/T 9x29.5S would work just fine for your application. I still had them on my AMX with Cal-Track parts with the 390 Superstock engine and went 10.0's with 1.38 60' and a 7200-7800 RPM launch. A 289 would be a piece of cake!
But then again I felt the need to re-work my car and for some reason got talked into a pair of 14.5 x 31.5 GY's. Sounds like way to much tire as well.

I don't run tubes with the 9X 29.5S M/Ts. Since the tubes came out, no more flat tires

I swear by the M/Ts 9x29.5 ST on my Stocker. No tube and they last 75 runs.

3072 13x31 M5 compound 98 rollout. We run this on both of our SS cars.
The 9x29.5 ST is what we run on our stocker and it works great too.
