just curious? what is your fuel pump of choice! i run a bracket truck and have been having issues with the fuel pressure down track. its fine in low gear and when i shift to high gear it seems to POP! when under a load. like a lean out situation. i dont have a pressure gage visable while driving YET!!! lol i run 7.25 lbs at regulator and have checked everything under the sun so far... valves, fuel jets, timming, coil, any suggestions?? remember its only in high gear! even in the burn out. thanks DOES THIS SEEM TO BE A FUEL PRESSURE OR VOLUME ISSUE TO YOU? thanks phillip

Phil
Try reducing the gap on your spark plugs (-.010) and make a pass and see if the pop goes away. High gear is where the highest load occurs and that is usually where ignition problems show themselves.

I had a similar issue and talked to Product Eng about my fuel pressure setting for gas and the routing of the lines from regulator to the carb. I was running an adjustable fuel log at the time. Product Eng mentioned to bump up to 8.5 lbs and to keep the regulator in front of the motor with separate lines run from the regulator to the carb bowls. I haven't had your same problem since and he (can't remember his name) has seen many issues with fuel line routing and fuel logs causing regulator output issues. Hope this helps some

Had the same problem. Ditched my mechanical fuel pump and used an electric only. I think todays gas sucks.
