Trailer tires

My 24' enclosed is in need of new tires. I've been told that I shouldn't replace the D rated tires that are on their with the same rating, I should go stronger. What is recommended by you guys with lots of highway miles under your belts. The trailer has 15" aluminum wheels on it.
