Bill, I am using a Product Engineering system. I use there 460 fuel pump and filter # 4450, and ther Q-jet regulator and bypass system #9000. Great stuff and good customer service. Call John and he will help you. Good luck.

I've only heard good about product engineering. Are you having a problem or building new system?Have you tried all those regulators and had problems,or were you saying you had used those brands in the past?

From what I have heard, the PE stuff is the best. I have been happy with my Magnafuel regulator, since last summer. Steady as can be.

It depends on how hard you're trying to leave. We use the A2000 pump and regulator. Maximum pump pressure to the regulator set at 4 psi. Two -8's out of the reg to a 'Y' block, -10 to the carb. Our car leaves hard enough that it would "stall" the fuel in the line and run the bowl dry before recovering. Bad stumble. Now we have enough pressure to the reg to overcome the initial g's and keep the flow moving forward. Mallory never was able to handle the load for our setup.
That's more like 1.5 cents worth...

Thanks for the imput guys i have the a2000 pump and have used the holley big 2 port and the magna fuel big 2 port i have one of the aeromotive bypass regulators but i dont like the idea of running anthr.- 10 line back to the cell my car does leave hard i am looking for some thing that does not load up because you have to run the fuel pressure high so that it is good on the big end have tried diff float levels does not help the holley was very bad with this well thanks again

You have to keep in mind that the return is only there to return what is not sent to the carb (obviously). Our carb can't handle anything above 4 psi or it bubbles over. The high pressure from the pump ensures constant fuel at the regulator and therefore, carb. The regulator is filling the carb as fast as the carb will allow, and we never have any issues with running lean on the top end. EGT's dictate that. We have a good fuel curve and it's regulated smooth and proper through the gear changes and acceleration. That's hard to do with a heavy stick car like ours. An automatic should be a little less volitile. No need to dead head if you don't have to. Hope this helps a little.
