Under NC 40 CFR 279.1 is the oil regs. The reg we need is .0118 Standards for Management of Used Oil, Subpart C Standards for Used Oil Generators (that's us), section 279.24 (a)(1)(2)(3) basically says less than 55 gals of Used Oil lets you off the hook for EPA numbers etc and you can transport it to a recycle center. There is an organization www.ecarcenter.org that is a association of oil recyclers that I think has the basic overview for each state. We have Used Oil, and we are not commercial users ie hobbiest, etc. Hope this helps. Remember we have Used Oil. That is a key to this situation.
