New blood shouldn't be given roadblocks. Of course she can do the pro-ams, the local events, etc unless they change the pro-am rules also. I guess I should call and inquire. Eric

I'm pretty sure you will find this is an insurance regulation, nothing more, nothing less, yes NHRA did this last year.

My recollection was in NHRA as of 1/1/2008 no one under 18 could run a national event although they could run divisionals. My son was just turning 18 so we paid attention when the rule changed.

NHRA has had that rule for a couple of years. You can run the points races, but until you are 18 you are not permitted to race a National Event. They don't even allow you to sign up for electronic entry until your 18th birthday. Just went through this with Christina.

I thought they use to just follow the laws of the state they were in. I remember when Billy Meyers couldn't race his funny car at a National event in New Jersey because he wasn't 18. I know a lot of states are considering raising the legal driving age to eighteen. But I really feel NHRA should honor the legal driving age of the state the even is in. It wouldn't surprise me to see NHRA put age limit some day on some of us old farts. The Greek is my old fart hero.
