Default Wake up NHRA

When will NHRA learn that you can calculate the dew point and they can determine a safe track temperature for fast cars.

Dew on the track - track temperature below 70.

Hmmm - might just be unsafe to race.

Instead after a crash all they can say is great safety equipment and rules insitiutued by NHRA to keep the drivers safe.

Might make more sense to try some preventative measures like not running really fast cars when it is too cold and damp for safe racing.

They run some very fast cars (Super Stock, COMP and yes even Stock) when it is to cold and to damp to race safely.

I have seen this happen year after year.

Wise up NHRA.

It can be too cold and too damp for safe racing.

Yeah, but it's also unfair to put the racer in the position of having to chose between their safety or eating an entry fee / eating a points claim / wasting your entire weekend.

Sounds like certain sports teams I know. Two local NHL teams played to two very empty arenas on Wednesday because they could care less for their fan's enjoyment (i.e. not being able to get to the game with a record snowfall going on). They had everyone's money and the players stay at a hotel across the street, so screw 'em if they can't show.

Just goes to show that no one really cares about the customer anymore.

NHRA did the same thing last year at the Sportsnats in Columbus. Because I felt it was too dangerous to make a pass I left. Its just like you said they are unable to make a sensible judgement about the conditions but brag about thier safety equipment and the rules that saved the driver from serious injury.
