Default What is the c.f.m on this Q-Jet 17080563

Any body out their know the c.f.m on this Q-Jet. It was used on 25 ft Formula 7.4 Liter boat Marine Carburetor Number is 17080563. The Guy is claiming it is a 850 c.f.m. I thought most Q-Jets were either 750 or 800 c.f.m

Thanks for looking,

Ron

The 800 cfm QJets were mostly found on engines other than Chevrolet. I used to build boat QJets for local marinas and boat shops, I never saw anything but a 750 QJet on a Chevy V8 boat engine, from the factory.

Norm & Al,

Thanks for the replies and info. Man, I was hoping this was indeed a 850 c.f.m Q - Jet. I had big plans for it on my 12.5 comp Street/Strip 461 project. I guess I will pass, I have several 750 c.f.m older Q-Jets.

Thanks Again,

Ron

Alan, not all chevy O-jet carbs are 750; in the late 70`s and early 80`s, i`ve found 800 on 305 chevy motors. Tom

Exactly why I said "mostly", Tom. You almost never know what you'll find for sure, just what you should find.
