I have just added a Crank trigger, 6al, and coil to eliminate previous problems with the MSD Lt1 distributor. I disconnected the distributor and only have the coil wire going to it. I have plenty of spark at both the coil and the plug. Now i dont have fuel ( i have 60 lbs of FP @ regulator). I am assuming the DFI needs a signal from the ignition to fire the injectors (batch fire). If so how does this get wired.
Thanks Jason

Jason it's been a couple years or I could tell you real easy what you need to hook up. I had a similar issue and had a former Accel DFI engineer give me some help when I first got my Firebird up and running. I met him on another website and he helped me a great deal. I had my box updated and bought a datalogger thru him from Accel. All the info is buried in the Accel instructions along with the pinouts and connections from the ECU. I believe I had a seperate wire ( white) tied from my MSD box to the ECU. I had an MSD 7AL2 and it failed so installed an MSD Digital 6. I will look around to see if I have any notes or what I might have on my home PC......Rich

Jason......I spent some time looking at the Accel info on their website to refresh my memory. I am almost positive you need to send the tach output signal from the MSD box to pin D on the ignition connector. It is an 8 pin weatherpak and D is crank positive. Tach output is a 5 volt squarewave on the MSD. You also might need to reconfigure your ECU's ignition info for that crank trigger signal. You have to look at the installation guide for various ignition signals for that, I can verify the wiring pretty easily as my old car is raced locally a lot by the present owner but I am pretty sure I am correct. My car would not start when I first attempted to fire it and it was exactly the trouble your having. Splice a wire from your tach wire ( green) to that pin D on the ignition connector. You will need to immediately check your timing when it starts. You won't have anymore ignition problems with the trigger on there. You do need to have a good cap and the rotor is another trouble spot to keep an eye on from what I've heard. I had the MSD cap and rotor and it has been on that car since day one with no problems and probably 100 runs on it.......Rich

Thanks Rich it worked perfectly. It fired right up 38* of timing and stayed put. Put some heat in it and then shut it off for a moment. Refired without any problems. Thanks again for your time. I owe you a cold one.
