Default Re: JW Performance Transmission "Ultra Comp" Opinions, ATI question

Now the ATI question,,,

Super Stock and Stock, ATI has a Treemaster and Treemaster MRT. I know a few years ago the ATI Treemaster MRT was a heavier unit than the Treemaster. So my question is, Do you guys who leave off a trans brake still use the Treemaster or have you moved up to the Treemaster MRT for a more durable unit ?

I know a few people who were racing Super Stock, one still does a little, that ran the Treemaster leaving at 5,800rpm off the trans brake. He used the Treemaster non MRT because the weight

Also, what kind of gains do you guys see by using an aluminum direct drum ? Do you see the transmission being less durable with an aluminum direct drum ? Is it ok to use the JW direct drum ? Maybe the ATI direct drum ?

Opinions ?
