Default Revised Torque Arm Bracket Now Available at S&W Race Cars

A new torque arm bracket for 3rd & 4th generation GM “F” bodies is now available for S&W Race Cars adjustable torque arms. Due to a recent post here on Class Racer we have decided to again redesign our torque arm mounting bracket in hopes of eliminating the occasional breakage problems that some of you have reported, but please keep in mind that no bracket is strong enough to survive without a regular routine of making sure all the fastener hardware remains tight. We have not experienced any broken parts due to manufacturing or material defect. Every damaged bracket seems to have been caused by loose mounting hardware

Effective May 1st 2009 all S&W Torque Arms will incorporate this new bracket.

We will replace any early style S&W torque arm bracket that has broken at no charge if returned to us by July 4th 2009.

New brackets will sell for $95.00 but we will replace any torque arm bracket now in service with a new style bracket for a $25.00 exchange fee plus postage.
This bracket requires a longer than stock through bolt (on housings with through bolt style mounting) A Grade 8 bolt kit is available for $19.95

Scott Weney & I will have a limited number of brackets available at the Maple Grove LODRS event. If you’d like to reserve one for that date or if you’d like to have one shipped to you prior to the event please contact our Sales Manager, Tom Hoosigian at 1-800-523-3353 ext 126.

S&W Race Cars will always strive to manufacture the finest components we can and will always stand behind them in regard for manufacturing and material quality. But unfortunately we can’t stop at your trailer at every event and check that your suspension bolts are tight; we’ll have to continue to trust you on that.
