Default race wheels

On the Centerline web site, I see some very attractive pricing for new styles of competition wheels. [buying direct from Centerline]

Was anyone seen these wheels up close and personal? [speaking of the new styles of competition wheels, several versions are shown]

They are very nice, we have sold a couple of sets. However, be aware that centerline was too STUPID to design the wheels to accept a 5/8" drive stud ( more specifically the washers that go with it). the lug nuts are recessed into an are on the wheels and the washers will not fit the recess (moser washers, haven't tried others). I think it was very shortsighted to build a light weight "race wheel", get it SFI certified, etc. without designing them to fit the studs that 90% of race cars run

O well, Thanks for the 5/8" stud warning since that is what I prefer and usually run.

Question Re: race wheels

How about the new Greg Weld wheels? If I understand correctly nhra/ihra approved. Are they a good choice for a stocker? They are priced good, cheaper than most if not all lightweight wheels, weigh about 1 pound more than most lightweight wheels. Thanks guys and gals. STOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick.
