Default SS/HA 71' Duster am I figuring right ?

Can someone tell me if I'm figuring this right. I went on the NHRA site and saw the 71' Plymouth Duster with the hi comp 340 is factored at 314 hp and falls into the 10.04 lb weight break ( SS/I or IA ). Since you can move up or down one class, couldnt this be a SS/HA combination, and race weight with driver be 3153 lbs ( 314 hp X 9.50 lbs = 2983 + 170 lbs = 3153 )? I wanna know if I'm doing this right and also, has anyone ever ran a Duster in SS/HA ? Thanks for any help

OK...I was looking at the Stock eliminator weight . My mistake. It keeps looking like a 360 is the way to go as far as the engine combination. I was hoping maybe a hi comp 340, but it just doesnt seem like the way to go.

The intake port volume for the 2.020" valved 68-71 340 needs to be corrected. The same ~port volume is listed in the NHRA port volume specs for the 2.020" valved 68-71 340 as the 1.880" valved 72-73 340's and 74-up 360's?, it's not right and never has been. The port throat is bigger on the 68-71 high compression 340's, yet they need to adhere to the smaller 72-73 340 and 74-up 360 port volume? It's worth trying if NHRA corrects the 68-71 340 intake port volume. Probably why there are several competitive high compression 340's in stock where no volumes are checked, but super stock is lacking.
