I think I may have a converter problem and would like to hear what everyone else thinks. I bracket raced the car today and the 60 ft times were all over the board. The first pass was the best at 1.50 then second pass it went 1.56, then 1.51 and back to 1.56 or 7. Passes 1 and 4 were in the same lane and 2 and 3 were in the other lane. The car felt really sluggish on the two slower passes, almost like I was just spinning but dad was watching and said that wasn't the case. Plus everyone else I talked to didn't seem to be having much of a problem hooking up. The tires were brand new last weekend, Hoosier radials. The car is an 85 Camaro, 305 launching at about 2900 with a 2-step. Its an ATI converter but I'm not sure what it is set at. Thanks for the help.

Some times the sprag or the roller clutch that locks the stator will slip. This will cause the converter, to not consistently multiply torque. If you have a data logger, you might see a lower stall speed, or during a shift the fall back rpm would be lower.
