Default Safety Harness Seat Feed Thru

Has anyone ever seen a plastic bushing that you can use when you take your stock seats and cut slots for the shoulder straps to feed thru?

I am envisioning a plastic oval tube 1/2" tall x 3" wide with a flare on the end to insert into the seat to keep the harness straps from rubbing on any inside the seat.

I have high backed buckets (77 Camaro) and the tech guy at my local track recommended that I feed the belts thru the seat because the seats are pretty wide at my shoulders and the belts would not keep me restrained very well.

I looked online at various belt suppliers and none of them make this sort of product.

Let me know if you have any suggestions on what to use.
Thanks,
Chad

Chad,

I know what your looking for, but all the one's I've seen done have
have been done by a upholstery shop.

But that plastic part might also be something from a seatbelt harness
off of a chevy.

Take a piece of PVC pipe, heat it with a heat gun and then form it to the shape you'd like.

Thumbs up Re: Safety Harness Seat Feed Thru

Check with your local Chevy parts guy. My 1994 Suburban has a seat belt grommet similar to what I think you are looking for Other years must have had them as well. It is a pass through for the front seat, its hard plastic and it has a lip on it. I think it'll do the job

Thanks for all the various ideas. I am planning a trip out to the junkyard to look at the various vehicles that you mentioned.
