converting a 71 nova to 69 what do i need to change on the car to claim it as a 69 nova stocker

From what I see out there, just claim it as a '69 on your tech sheet. The days of changing out the grille, tail lights, etc., seem to be forgotten (unfortunately). As long as the body looks the part, you should be OK but you are taking chances. Worst case they tell you to fix it.

They may possibly want the front bumper changed out since the running lights are different.

Like Jeff said, you can race as is, by claiming 1969 and(most likely) nothing will be said. The TAIL LIGHTS are shorter and back up lights are located on inside of assembley . BUMBER has larger TURN/PARK LIGHT assemblies. A few things are different on the inside but are hard to tell.

dont forget the 2 inch marker lights on a 69 appose to the 4 inchers on a 71.

68 &69 are pretty close however 70 up there are enough cosmetic changes to be visable from a distance if the right person is looking
