Default Header coatings

I will be taking the motor out of my car shortly & am considering getting my headers ceramically coated at that time. Is there any horsepower to be made by doing this & does it significantly cool the engine compartment or am I just as well off to use the high temperature VHT on them? Also do these coatings help to save the tubes inside? Thanks.

Send them to NitroPlate, great coating, excellent customer service. Also a group of racers, and members of this board.

55, since you are in Calgary, there is (or was) a place in either Edmonton or Calgary that did my buddys headers seversl years ago. I believe that they were called "Top Gun". Also, out here in BC, there is "Kool Coat" in Surrey. They did a set for me about 7 or 8 years ago, so far, so good.

Hello

Thanks for the info. Chad, it is a real hassle sending stuff to the U.S. They get you for all kinds of brokerage & other fees. Anyway send me the number for nitroplate, I will check with him.
Most likely will get them done locally, these Stahl fenderwell units are quite large & if they happen to get lost it is $1000.00 plus shipping to replace them. Thanks
