Default 67 Chevy II

I just purchased the Cal-Trac system. Will the factory leaf spring bolts, shackles work ok?
If so, where can I buy new ones?
I need the front bolt/washer and shackle bolts, brackets and 4 bushings

Yes the stock bolts will work, I recently put the split mono's and caltracs on my 66 nova. The diameter of the front bolts I believe is 1/2" but one side of the hanger /factory bolt is 3/8". I just drilled it out to 1/2" and got some 5" long 1/2" grade 8 bolts. My factory bolts were trashed . If you want to keep the factory's Idea just order some new bolts from Year One or Ground-up, Their cheap.

Did that make any sense ????? Even I'm confused now.

Makes good sense. My bolts are also bad and so are the washers.
Thanks for the info.

I reccomend 9/16" and bracing your spring pad. If you have any power and / or hook, these factory parts will fail. I obtained my 9/16" u-bolts from an RV spring supplier.

Thanks, I got new u bolts from Cal-Trac. Are you using the stock washers on the front of the springs (the ones that center the bolt in the spring box)?

We had problems with the stock front washer. If you can have something stronger made, it will help. The stock one got beat up and would pop out of the hole. We run a stickshift stocker (66 Nova) I don' t think anyone makes an off of the shelf item like this, but if you know a machinist, they are not too difficult to make.
