Re: Washington Post article about former racer
Wow.Please don't think in any way that this guy speaks for or is representative of Spirit filled, evangelical,Pentecostal or fundamentalist Christianity. He is a fraud. Unfortunately, there still are a few.I accepted Christ when i was 17, and have been active in various things for the Lord ever since.(I'm 54 now). If you want to see the message of Christ beilng lived out, look no further than your local Racers for Christ group, probabally at yourlocal track. They are the most dedicated genuine servants of others that I have ever seen.As far as this misguided shepard, he can have no more power than you give him. Many people seem to be able to handle poverty, but some people can't handle success.

Another great Christian drag racer (and true servant) is RFC chaplain Tom Ratliff.

I think I raced that guy in Columbus in 06 or 07. Was that his daughter or wife driving the dragster?

All I can say is "WOW"!
Always wondered how they afforded their racing operation, being a minister! "Robbing" their trusting members!

Re: Washington Post article about former racer
Come on now folks.......... he states that all those things belong to the Church........the Bible probably told him, "Go forth with your young virgin and race my son"........ what a crock of S--t.......... next we'll be reading about how he mixed up this big batch of punch........there are good people out there, many in the racing world, working hard to bring a little bit of God into everyone's life......... and then there's a guy like this stealing in the name of God........ not that I'm a really religious person (just spiritual), but stuff like this makes me want to puke.........
