Kilgore Transmissions?
Anyone here use the Kilgore Superlite 400 transmission and what do you think about one in a 3400# car running low 10's. Will it pick the car up and will it last? Thanks for any help.

Does no one run this transmission in Stock or Super Stock? They claim people are running them instead of C4's and they ae stronger than 200s. Is all this just "ad talk" and no one uses them?
Thanks, Jim N. |

I use one in my SS/GT Firebird. I have run one behind a 350/314 combo, and also behing my current 454/390. I have never had any problems with the trans or the transbrake. John Kilgore is always available to talk about the trans, and make recommendations on gear ratios. Russ Abrams

Thanks for the replies. Rusty you can contact through kilgoretrans.com. I've been looking at their 400 vs a 200. Hope to get more runs from the 400 between freshening.
Thanks again, Jim N. |
