Having only done bars in unibodies for stock eliminator, What is the best bar set up for a car with a full frame. Where is best to tie it in? or do I just put it to the floor with plates like a unibody??? Do I use short bars going back or long ones? What about a clean install? This is gonna be a frame off piece and wants it to look nice. How do you do it if you have weld on the frame and CANT take it apart later? Any suggestions? Pictures??
Responses appreciated..This is a big block auto combo high 10's Thanx in advance Kenny... h/sa 7709 |

Send FJ Smith a email he built some of the first Cutlass G cars these were full frame cars Olds supplied him with bare chasis which he rewelded most of the welds and built cages.

no floor plates allowed, it has to go to the frame . depending on what chassis it is ,you may have to box the frame where the cage will mount.

It has to be welded directly to the frame.
On a GM car, remove the frame-to-body bolts and jack up the body. Cut a hole thru the body were the roll bar tube will go thru to the frame and weld to the frame. Also replace the frame-to-body biscuits with solid ones. |
