Congrats to all . Had a ball even if i lost 1st round. 51 cars and 40 hotdogs ,may have to grill 60 hotdogs next time . Spottings of a King Reptile was on the grounds hitting that stick on the ole Chevelle. Lots of old and new (young) racers on hand today.

Thanks again to Jeff Warren and Fayetteville Motorsports Park for hosting a really fun event! I had my career best 60' and ET with the Turismo, running a -1.047 under 15.253 (IHRA FF/SA trim).

Got photos processed and posted, 75 in all! Check them all out at http://www.staginglight.com/photos/fayetteville10/

Here are a few highlights...

Our host, Jeff Warren congratulates S/SS Winner Jimmy Spell (GT/K Camaro), who ran a dead-on 10.28 in the final!

#2 in the World in IHRA Stock, Brian Rowe, driving Richie Decola's E/FIA Camaro was Runner-Up, breaking out with an 11.11 on an 11.13.

#2 finished #2 in the race, and #3 in the World finished #3 in the race... Rowe was .015 and dumping to .02 above to win over Michael Beard's 15.266 breakout on a 15.28. Spell had the semifinal bye run.

DW Sr deserves some press, just for cookin' hot dogs!

King Reptile, representin'

Here's a blast from the past... 2nd generation racer, 19-yr old Curtis Smith, *Jr* taking the wheel of his famous father's "Hot Stuff" Camaro for the first time.

Hit the photo gallery for much more! http://www.staginglight.com/photos/fayetteville10/

Thanks to FMP and the Warrens for sponsoring a great day of drag racing. I had more fun than legally allowed I'm sure, even if I did go out in the 1st round. I especially thank my brother, Drew, and hometown racing legend, Alvin Bailey, for coming to help us out. Alvin got me started in this mess to begin with back in the 70's, and I think this is the first time he's seen me race since I got back in it about 6 or 7 years ago (I blame Corbitt for that). What a show! Thanks for the great pics and reports, Michael.

The Warren Family would like to send out a big "Thank You" to everyone who came out and enjoyed a great day of racing, leading to a great turnout! Special thanks to Alfonza Currie and all of the hardworking FMSP staff. Congratulations to winner Jimmy Spell, Ritchie Decola and Brian Rowe on their runner-up, and to Michael Beard on a semi finish. We would also like to thank Danny Waters for cooking hot dogs, Bobby Warren and Joe Tysinger both drove from California to get here, and to Michael Beard and Brooke Warren for race coverage and photos!
