Default Kelson & Kelson ACSSA 2025 Race 4 Report - NB Nat Open

KELSON & KELSON STOCK/SUPERSTOCK SERIES - RACE 4 REPORT
Miramichi Dragway, July 27, 2025
Race Sponsor: The Trailer Store

With scarcely time to catch our collective breath after the completion of the first Miramichi National Open race, the fourth race of the ACSSA 2025 season got underway with a single round of Qualifying followed by eliminations. Temperatures had risen slightly and were in the high-70s, but the DA remained under 2000', and Water Grains stayed in the 50 range. The field was slightly smaller for the second race at 22 cars, due to attrition and a schedule conflict for some racers that required them to hit the road. Three cars qualified at more than 1 second under, while a couple of cars failed to get hold of the hot track. Jeremy Keans had no issue with traction however and returned to the top spot, picking up his pace to a -1.320 under his Index in the process.

The final round featured two veteran racers from Nova Scotia that likely have over a hundred years of racing experience between them, Bruce Riley and Fred Thibeault. Fred spun in qualifying but got down the track during eliminations, while Bruce left on the bumper with every pass he made. In the Final Fred left a touch too soon with a .004 redlight, while Bruce motored down the track enroute to picking up his latest Wally in the Winner?s Circle. Congratulations to them both!

Phil Archibald didn't go home empty handed either, as his freshly redone '68 Corvette A/SA earned the coveted NHRA Best Appearing Car Award.
