Vortec heads

I’m installing a small block Chevy aluminum intake on a Vortec head engine. Anyone done this before and does it affect the performance of the engine?
I’ve opened up the intake runners height to match the heads runners. The cylinder heads were drilled for both style intake manifolds so bolt up isn’t a problem. Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks

best using a dual plane intake. port match is good...both will help indeed.
